Ibi's Digital Nomad Stories
Very Neesh Freelancing

The Brief

Ibi’s Digital Nomad Stories is a weekly podcast focused on the strategic reality of becoming a digital nomad. Instead of glorifying the lifestyle, the podcast features honest conversations with people who have built sustainable, location-independent income streams, sharing how they transitioned, the challenges they faced and what they wish they had known earlier.

My Role

I joined the project initially as an editor, but as we worked together Ibi trusted me with full creative control. I now manage the project end to end, working independently across podcast editing, social content creation and channel management. I have full ownership over which moments are clipped and how stories are shaped across platforms.

Podcast Production

Each week, I edit a 30–40 minute episode that is published as both video and audio. The focus for the main podcast is to keep it organic and conversational, with minimal visual edits, while ensuring the audio is clean, clear and high quality. Audio editing became a key skill on this project and has been a major part of maintaining a professional standard.

Social Content and Storytelling

From each episode, I create five short social clips designed to stand alone and tell a clear story. Each clip follows a narrative structure, often opening with a strong hook before rewinding to provide context. Subtitles are always included for accessibility. As a digital nomad myself, I’m able to quickly identify themes and moments that will resonate most with the audience.

Platforms and Distribution

Full episodes are published on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Ibi’s website. Short-form clips are shared across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Alongside editing, I also manage scheduling and daily posting across social channels.

Results and Learning

The podcast launched with strong early engagement and is still in its early growth phase. One of the biggest challenges has been maintaining a consistent daily social output, alongside learning new skills such as long-form video and audio editing. As my first major freelance project, this work has been especially meaningful, combining my professional skills with lived experience and reinforcing my confidence in storytelling, content strategy and independent project ownership.

With such a huge volume of content being produced weekly I'm unable to show everything here so I invite you to browse Ibi's socials

Here is an example of a full podcast episode, alongside the social feed. With daily posting, it’s important to balance consistency with variation. I create clear titles for each clip and follow a consistent design system, allowing the content to feel cohesive without becoming repetitive.
